Ram Charan Peddi to take Toxic release week

Apr 30, 2026

The theatrical release of Ram Charan's upcoming sports drama, Peddi, has become a fascinating waiting game filled with strategy. Initially slated for an April 30th release, the film was pushed back to allow the team enough time to wrap up post-production and extensive visual effects. Recently, director Buchi Babu Sana confirmed a June 25th release. This was a calculated move to avoid a direct box office clash with Yash's highly anticipated film, Toxic, which had already locked June 4th.

However, the industry landscape just shifted. With recent reports confirming that Toxic is stepping away from its June 5th date, that prime theatrical window is suddenly wide open. This unexpected development has sparked intense discussions. June 5th offers a lucrative summer release and a clear two-week run.

On the other hand, the currently planned June 25th date places Peddi just one day before Akhil Akkineni's Lenin, creating an unnecessary box office bottleneck. So, the makers have now locked 5th June release as soon as Toxic makers confirmed postponement, say reports. Venkata Satish Kilaru is producing the film with AR Rahman composing music. Janhvi Kapoor, Shiva Rajkumar are playing prominent leading roles in the film.
