Yash's much-awaited Toxic is back in the spotlight, and industry gossip suggests that crash in OTT market is causing further delay in release of the project. According to the reports, the makers have spent record breaking budget for any Kannada film, looking at KGF franchise success. To recover, they estimated a significant number from OTT platforms but the current crash in market is not allowing for such multi-hundred crore deal to go through. 

Hence, producers KVN Productions and Monster Mind Creations have, reportedly, decided to wait till a good OTT deal is finalised, to release the film. Even Yash, who is also one of the producers, has agreed to this settlement and he is even actively trying to find a Hollywood studio to distribute his film's English version in Overseas markets. For now, the gossip mongers state that the release of the film depends entirely on the OTT deal. 

Directed by Geetu Mohandas the movie also stars Nayanthara, Kiara Advani, Rukmini Vasanth, Tara Sutaria and Huma Qureshi. The film has been carrying huge expectations ever since it was announced. Teaser did get huge response but trailer did not live up to the high expectations. There is no official confirmation regarding these reports, but the wait for Toxic continues for the time being.
