Ajith Kumar, One of Tamil Biggest Stars, has delivered a blockbuster with Good Bad Ugly, last year, and the movie completes one year of release too, by tomorrow. Still, he did not start shooting for his next, even though Adhik Ravichandran is confirmed as director. Mythri Movie Makers have produced it but they did not show interest in collaborating again or continuing same combination which Ajith, previously, did for his previous films. 

On top of it all, Kollywood grapevine is buzzing with rumors that Ajith is quoting close to 175-185 crores remuneration and if that is impossible, a 50 crore advance and 10-15% share in entire pre-release business. This is a humungous demand and also, it is reported that Mytgri lost close to 35-50 crores in GBU, due to production costs. 

So, hearing Ajith demands, potential producers got cold feet, fearing how they would ever make that money back after the investment. Now, fed up with going around the town, Ajith has decided to produce #AK64 himself, say new reports. It is stated that Ajith understood the salary issue with other producers and he asked Adhik Ravichandran to give him complete production cost details. 

So, he is ready to make that investment and he believes the story will work out in theatres big time, it seems. If the whispers are true, the shoot will finally begin this June. We hear he will be giving 15 days of call-sheets every month to keep the production moving at a steady pace. Since it is being planned as a proper family entertainer, the makers are aiming straight for a grand Pongal release. Let's wait for an official confirmation and if this project turns out to be a massive hit, he might become co-producer for his next films, too.
