The Ernakulam Town South police in Kerala have registered a sexual harassment case against Malayalam filmmaker Chidambaram. The case was confirmed by the police on Monday following a complaint filed by a female actor.

According to the complainant, the director allegedly misbehaved with her in 2022 at an apartment in Kochi. Based on these allegations, Chidambaram has been booked under the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS). Specifically, he faces charges under Section 74, which pertains to outraging the modesty of a woman, and Section 75, which covers sexual harassment offenses.

This legal trouble comes at a time when the director has been in the spotlight for his professional success. However, the police are now moving forward with the investigation into these serious allegations from a few years ago. Further updates are expected as the legal process unfolds in Kochi.
