Here, growing up of Ramu in Hyderabad is shown as a bicycle narrating the story with voice-over by famous hero Raviteja. In Hyderabad, Shop owner fires Ramu from his job, because Ramu delivers goods on a bicycle, while other delivery boys deliver them by autos. When Ramu is keeping idle, not knowing what to do, he gets a message through courier that his mother got back 5 acres of land in a pending court case. While Ramineedu and his sons try to send away Ramu out of their house, Ramu tries to stay back. What happens thereafter..., is to be seen only on the silver screen.
Analysis :
The movie has a very brief span. Hero will be alive only till he stays within his enemy's house. Once he comes out, he will be killed. This is the only point the flick has and how far can anyone stretch it? Certainly, it is risky to choose this kind of a story. Albeit, the flick has been well handled without filling it up with unnecessary stuff. And the reason is its apt screenplay. However it is bit ridiculous that Malla Suri, who gives Ramu lift on his bike, but fails to locate him in that tiny village after coming to know that Ramu is his enemy's son. This kind of sequences are found here and there in the movie, which lead the audience to a bit of impatience. The reason for minutely scrutinizing the film is, though Rajamouli is making a movie with comedian Sunil, there is a certain amount of expectation for Rajamouli's prowess as a director and his previous flick "Magadheera" being a super-duper hit, a detailed explanation is necessitated.Coming back to review, the reason for Aparna falling in love with Ramu, just because of her fiance Bramhaji, is not so convincing. Similarly, Bramhaji agreeing to marry Aparna just because Ramu highlights her virtues in a song 'telugammayi...', isn't an apt suggestion. Though the film was not made under Rajamouli's regular banner, he did a good job within the means available to him. Production values are good.
TeluguOne Perspective :
Acting: Every frame in the flick reflects the hard work done by Sunil. He did his job very cautiously. Barring two or three new steps, his dance movements from his first film as hero "Andala Ramudu" seem better. Surprisingly, heroine Saloni has done very well. Though for Nagineedu it is the first film, he performed perfectly. Supreeth and Prabhakar's roles were tailor-made. Except over-action by Bramhaji's mother character, others have done justice to their respective roles. Music:Good.Though all the songs are good, 'raaye raaye raaye... saloni' will be a hit with the masses, while'telugammayi... telugammayi...' song will become popular among all.Re-recording is also good photography: Ramprasad's camera work is exceptionally good. It is difficult to identify which frame is original and which one is graphics.Editing: Very good. No unwanted lags anywhere, which helped the brisk pace of the movie.Dialogues: Neither exceptionally good nor bad.Lyrics: Lyrics in songs excel literally.Art: Very Good.Choreography: O.K., satisfactory.Action: Good. At the same time incomprehensible that a Tata Sumo can not catch up with a bicycle! Of course, anything is possible in Telugu flicks!!You won't enjoy the movie, if you have predominated notions about Rajamouli's previous movies. If you take it as Sunil's movie as a hero, you may enjoy it to some extent.
