After watching Amitabh Bacchan's "Don" movie, a lad (Raviteja) gets so impressed that he changes his name to "Don Seenu". Seenu's life ambition is to become a 'Don' himself and for that strives a lot to make his dream come true. Vexed by Seenu's behavior as Don, his mother thrashes him and tells his father to put him in a hostel. Seenu, who behaves like a Don with others, likes operator of that village's cinema theater and calls him as 'Babai' and his daughter as 'Akka'. Seenu runs away from home and the operator who is going to his native place, also takes Seenu along with them. That way Seenu comes to city. There in city, Madapur Machiraju (Shayaji Shinde) and Narayanaguda Narsing (Srihari) are two 'Dons'. They don't see eye to eye and compete with each other in everything. Narsing sends his kid sister to Germany for studies and Machiraju too sends his sister to the same college in Germany. Both Machiraju and Narsing have a common Godfather in Mukesh Duggal (Mahesh Manjrekar). Don Seenu hits Mukesh's son over some issue. Machiraju takes Don Seenu into his fold to take revenge on Narsing. Machiraju kills one of Narsing's men, who was working under him and tells Mukesh Duggal that he has killed Don Seenu. Machiraju sends Don Seenu to Germany to woo Narsing's sister. What Don Seenu did in Germany...? Whom did he love? Why he has risked his life to play games with the Dons Machiraju and Narsing..... forms the rest of the story.
Analysis :
Movie's director Gopichand Malineni is to be appreciated. Though it is his first movie as director, he didn't show signs of stumbling at any place in the movie. He dealt with the movie like a much experienced director. He will be yet another Vinayak and Rajamouli for Telugu industry. This very first film of Malineni Gopichand as director can be vouched as a 100 days hit movie. From beginning tiill end of the movie you won't find anything other than entertainment. There many a twist in the movie. Particularly mass will like the drama played by Don Seenu.... acting as if he is in love with Machiraju's sister in front of Narsing and as in love with Narsing's sister in front of Machiraju and the manner in which he wooes Narsing's sister etc. In first half Raviteja-Ali combo presents hilarious comedy and in the second half Bramhanandam joins Raviteja and there will be no end for laughter. Coming to production values, it is said that this flick's production cost is 23 crores. It is all visible on the screen. At no point the producer has compromised over anything. It needs one to have guts to invest so much on a debutant director.
TeluguOne Perspective :
As usual Raviteja performed with full energy. Srihari's character runs in tune with what he did previously in "Dhhee" movie. Shayaji Shinde too performed well as machiraju. The remaining cast Ali, Bramhanandam, Raghubabu, Surekhavani and others have done justice to their respective roles. Both the heroines Sriya and Sanjana Sukhani vied with each other in showering glamor. Music: This Mani Sharma scored music audio is already a big hit in the market. All the songs are good. Re-recording is a plus point for the movie. Cinematography: Very good. Germany's beauty has been well captured in songs. Sameer Reddy's camera work is also good in action scenes. Dialogues: Kona Venkat's pen got more sharpened with this flick. It can be said that Kona Venkat only knows well how to write dialogues for a pucca mass hero like Raviteja. For instance, "bread mukkalu thine meeke antha pogarunte.... goddu kaaram thine nakentha balupundaalra...," like dialogues will attract the mass audience very well. Editing: Goutham Raju is the king of Editors, what else can be said! Lyrics: All are mass-songs in the movie and are good. Choreography: Audience didn't go out for cigarettes and tea during song sequences. That would be sufficient to tell, how choreography is. Action: Two fight masters have competed with each other in composing fights for this movie. You will know the result, when you watch it. If you want to enjoy watching a pucca entertainer movie, then you must see this one.
