Why makers trimmed Hari Hara Veera Mallu film?
Updated : Jul 28, 2025
Hari Hara Veera Mallu film had been in production from past five years due to COVID pandemic and Pawan Kalyan's political commitments. Krish Jagarlamudi, who initially directed the film, opted out due to some undisclosed reasons. Jyothi Krishna, son of producer AM Rathnam and director, took over the film to finish it.
Upon release, the movie failed to live up to expectations of the audiences. While it took a big opening on the first day, the word of mouth has been heavily negative from the first day first show. Mainly, VFX shots have been criticised heavily and hence, the makers have decided to trim few portions.
As per the reports, the makers have trimmed down 20 minutes from the final cut in second half. VFX Heavy scenes like Pawan Kalyan travelling with his gang and crossing a lean avalanche, pre-climax portions and other scenes. This trimmed version will play in theatres from Monday and they are expecting this to salvage it.
Industry insiders are speculating about the trimming of the film, post release. They are stating that AM Rathnam is desperate for the film to perform well at the box office. On the other hand, even Pawan Kalyan asked makers to take care of the negative reactions and work accordingly, it seems.
While the makers are thinking in this manner, fans are heavily disappointed with the film. Some of them have asked Pawan Kalyan to only concentrate on politics, if cannot really work in films or disinterested. All hopes of fans are OG but makers are desperate to make HHVM work at box office, in some manner.
