Over creative differences with director Mysskin, he decided to direct Thupparivalan 2, by himself. Their dispute has gone public with Vishal's team leveling accusations on Mysskin about abnormal expenditure.

The truth behind the matter is stated to be that Ravi Arasu had a family emergency and he took leave of absence between schedules.

Suddenly, Dilip Subrayan asked Vishal if he is ready to go for an action sequence, as his dates are free. Vishal agreed to go for shoot and asked director Ravi to take care of his family.
