Jr. NTR has achieved worldwide fame with RRR. The SS Rajamouli directorial has opened new markets for him and he decided to go Pan-India with Devara. The makers have divided the story into two parts and Devara Part-1 released in 2024. He took one whole year to decide on the script and execution.

While the movie ended up being his biggest grosser, it did not satisfy his fans and earned very negative feedback for several scenes and screenplay. NTR took a bold decision to play an anti-hero in WAR 2, becoming part of YRF Spy Universe. But the film did not really set box office on fire as he imagined.

Even he did not get humongous praises for his performance, as he anticipated. Even at the box office, collections have been underwhelming even in Telugu States, compared to Coolie. So, the popular gossip in the Industry is that both director Koratala Siva and NTR have decided to drop the second part.

Currently, NTR is focusing on completing NTR Neel project and then, he is gearing up to play Lord Murugan/ Karthikeya role in the direction of Trivikram Srinivas. As the director started his next with Venkatesh, as soon as he completes this one, he wants to take film on Karthikeya forward, it seems.

Even the director is said to be not interested to wait so long for the second part. He has moved on to lock his next with Naga Chaitanya, it seems. Currently, both the director and actor have parted ways with mutual admiration and understanding, it seems. They will come together again in future but Devara story will not continue, it seems.
