Fruit Lassi Recipe
Strawberry Lassi
Ingredients:
Chopped Strawberries -1 Cup
Chilled Yogurt - 2 Cups
Chilled Milk -1/2 Cup
Sugar -4 tbsp
Rose water -2 tsp
Fresh Cream -2 tbsp
Method :
Rinse, hull and chop the strawberries, keep aside 3-4 pieces of strawberry for garnish.
In a blender or mixer add curd, milk and pulse for 30 secs to 1 min.
Add strawberries, sugar, rose water, cream (if using) and blend again with 2-3 mins with intervals to get creamy lassi.
Transfer in to serving glasses, garnish with strawberry pieces and serve immediately.
Pineapple Lassi
Ingredients
Crushed Pineapple - 1/2 cup
Sugar - 1/4 cup
Yogurt - 2 cup
Milk -1/2 cup
Heavy cream - 2 tablespoon
7-8 saffron threads
salt on taste
Black pepper on taste
Ice cubes
Method
Heat the pan, add Grated Pineapple and sugar, mix well and sauté it for 2 -3 minutes until slightly tender. Keep aside and allow it to cool down completely. Add yogurt, milk, heavy cream, ice cubes, saffron and salt into the blender and blend it until smooth.
Banana Lassi
Ingredients
Yogurt - 1 cup
Large bananas-2
Ground cardamom- pinch
Sugar to taste
ice cubes
Instructions
Peel and roughly slice the banana then place in a blender. Next add the yogurt, cardamom and the sugar, blend until the banana is completely broken down and ingredients are well blended. At this time you can check the consistency of the Lassi and see if you would like to add water to thin out, then blend again for a minute. Serve straight away with a few ice cubes.
