South Indian Curry Powder

 


Ingredients :

* 1 Cup Chenna Dal
* 1/4 Cup Urad Dal
* 2 spn Whole dhania
* 1spn Zeera
* Red chilies and salt according to taste
* 1/2 spn oil

Method:

* Take a heavy based pan

* put 1/2spn oil(this powder should be dry so very little oils needed)
Put Zeera

* When they crackle add all other ingredients(chin,urad, dhania, Red Chilli)

* Keep frying till aroma comes out of it. or till it turns into golden brown
Cool it, and once it has cooled down,add salt and grind it to coarse powder

* Store it in dry container and it will stay for 6 months

How to use:

You can add this to any curry,like brinjal, snake guard, behindi, capsicum, just put the cut vegetable in oil, add a little salt(rem we already added salt in powder so add salt only little)and add turmeric,put a lid and cook till 3/4 vegetable is done. Then add powder and fry openly for some time. And eat it with steaming white rice.
