Raghubar Das elected as New CM of Jharkhand

The change of guard in Jharkhand state was proved to be a smooth affair for the party as the two leaders of the party Neelkanth Munda and Shiv Shankar Urav, have dropped from the CM race paving way for unanimous election of Raghubar Das as legislative leader.

The 59 year old Raghubardhan Das will be the first non-tribal Chief Minister of the state. He is representing Jamshedpur East constituency. He has served as the Deputy Chief Minister of the state and also is one of the national a vice presidents of the party. BJP is considering the names of Neelkanth Munda and Shiv Shankar Urav for Deputy Chief Minister Post to maintain the balance of tribal and non-tribal strengths in the state government. Raghubardhan Das is likely to take oath as Chief Minister of the state in a day or two.

This is first time a stable government is forming in the Jharkhand state after its formation as a separate state on November 15 in year 2000. Ever since the state was formed, it was badly struck with corrupted governments and the ministers. BJP was able to connect with the people of the state on this point only. It came to power owing the people that it will offer a clean, efficient and a stable government.
