Medical Student Gang Raped: In yet another shocking incident of violence against women in the national capital, a 23 year old medical student was allegedly gangraped in a moving bus by a group of men late on Sunday night.

The victim and her male friend were travelling in a White line bus when the horrific incident occurred in the Vasant Vihar area of South Delhi. The male friend registered a complaint with the Vasant Vihar police station past midnight. A case under section 376 has been registered.

According to the FIR filed, the duo boarded a bus to Dwarka from Munirka last night and the incident took place when the bus reached Mahipalpur. After the assault, the men took off the clothes of the girl and her friend and threw them out of the bus near the Mahipalpur flyover.

The male friend is an engineer and is currently working in a firm. The girl has been admitted in the Safdarjung hospital and is said to be in a critical condition.

No arrests have been made so far in the incident. Meanwhile the police have seized the two buses in question. The girl, who studies in a college in Dehra Dun, is in the capital for her internship.
