The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) on Wednesday filed a charge-sheet in the Emaar Properties case in the CBI special court, said CBI JD VV Lakshminarayana. The CBI interrogated 270 people in the case and collected 2,300 documents. The charge-sheet consisted of 1,000 pages. The Emaar Properties which developed Boulder Hills in 535 acres at Manikonda had 74 per cent of stake in the project, while 24 per cent was held by the Andhra Pradesh Industrial Infrastructure Corporation (APIIC).
Eventually, the share of APIIC was brought down to 0.6 per cent and the CBI was probing if there was any illegal transaction of money in reducing the stake of APIIC. It is also probing whether funding of Jagati Publications owned by Kadap MP YS Jagan Mohan Reddy has been done through the companies involved in the Emaar scam.
