Court rejects bail to Jayalalitha

In a quite unexpected way, Karnataka High Court rejects Jayalalitha’s bail petition. Actually, her party leaders, workers and her followers in the state have started celebrating her release after hearing the news about public prosecutor reportedly agreed to grant her conditional bail. Even media reports that court has granted conditional bail to her, but the High Court announcing its verdict said it couldn’t see any strong reason to grant her bail.
Obviously, her followers may sharply react to the court verdict. So, police in Bangalore city and back in Tamilnadu were put on high alert to handle any untoward incidents. Since, the High Court rejects her bail petition, she have to stay in jail till her lawyer files bail petition again in Supreme Court and the apex court take-up her petition for hearing. Probably, it may take a week or ten days’ time to complete this process.
