Rainy Season brings lots of cool breezes and drizzles along with cold, cough and flu…. This is the season… when your kids feel like eating outside. But fell sick due to the climate, water contamination, etc…
Now as a parent.. what are you supposed to do ?
Here are few tips for Parents Home with their Kids who are sick? We love our children. We take care of them all the time and even more when they are not well. You do give your kids medicines. But along with that a little extra to make them feel better.
Set up different resting places.
Most of your kids don't feel like being on the same bed throughout the day, they'll go crazy. So, set up a few different cozy spots for them -- their bed, the sofa / couch in the living room, and the diwan in the family room or a chair in the sit out.
Limit TV and Video Games.
Few minutes or 1 to 2 hrs of TV is fine when kids are sick. However, watching TV or playing video games may not give your child the healingrest they need. On the other hand, a bit of something calmer work-- like reading or coloring. In this case they're more likely to stop it abruptly when they get tired and go to sleep.
Be prepared.
Try to store coloring books, stickers, and small toys in a closet which your kids haven’t seen so far. Pull them out when your child gets sick. Just having something new to look will help distract.
Set your own work aside.
If you're a working parent who unexpectedly had to stay home to take care of your sick child, it is suggested to try not to multi-task too much.
Its hard to take care of your child as well as work from home simultaneously. Trying to do both will just leave you tensed and stresssed.
