Nail Polish Removers Made At Home!
With a fresh coat of dark colour:
One of the most easiest way of removing the existing nail colour is by applying a fresh coat of a darker shade. If you have a nail paint that is darker in shade than the current one, you can make use of it for removing your nail color. Apply the dark nail color to your already colored nails in thick coats and wipe them off with a cotton ball right away. Be as fast as possible so that the color doesn’t get enough time to dry up. This will instantly help you get rid of the nail colour without any hassles.
Body spray or Hair spray:
Your hair spray or the regular body spray might come in handy to take off the nail colour the next time you run out of the nail polish remover. Place the bottle of the spray in such a way that its nozzle remains only a couple of centimeters away from your nail. Now, spritz it on the nail and wipe off the nail color by using a cotton ball. Do the same for all other nails. However, hair spray may dry out the nails and cause it to peel. Hence, you should wipe it off the nails as soon as possible.
Vinegar & Orange juice:
All that you need to do to use vinegar is just dip a cotton ball in the vinegar and immediately try to remove the nail polish. Repeat it if needed. Alternatively take vinegar and some orange juice in a bowl and soak your fingernails inside the solution for 10-15 minutes and start rubbing the nails inside the solution itself. Actually, vinegar and citrus fruits can acids that help in breaking the polish layer. So, it is an easy way to remove nail polish. You could also use lemon juice instead of orange juice.
Toothpaste is something that is easily available anywhere and it could perfectly replace your nail polish remover and still do the same job effectively. Take some toothpaste, put it on your nails and then start scrubbing with an old toothbrush or a paper towel. In general, white toothpastes work best as they lift and pull the color off your nails. Alternatively you can use toothpaste with baking soda, which is a well-known natural cleaning solution, which often has the best results.
Hot water and lemon:
Another way to make nail polish remover at home, is to dip your hands in warm water for about 3 to 6 minutes, until the nail polish softens and starts cracking. Afterwards, remove your nails from hot water and cut one lemon into two halves. Rub the lemon against your nails and your nail polish will go away immediately. Alternatively take some warm water in a bowl and put your fingers in it. Once the old polish becomes soft enough (it should not take more than 20 to 25 minutes), take the fingers out of the water and rub the nails gently with the dry piece of cloth. The nail paints will come off effortlessly.
