Why Dil Raju Still Promoting Remo?

Star producer Dil Raju is keen on film distribution, rather than filmmaking off late. He released Sivakarthikeyan and Keerthy Suresh starrer romantic comedy film Remo in Telugu with the same title. The movie graced theaters last week to mixed response. Since, Siva is not a noted face for Telugu audience and also because of the movie didn’t fare well at Tamil box office; the Telugu version too opened to average collections.

Interestingly, Dil Raju is still promoting the film by arranging success meet and other endorsing programs. One doubts why? Actually, Dil Raju didn’t buy Remo Telugu rights, but he accepted for the proposal of Tamil producer to use his production banner- Sri Venkateswara Creations. The producer pocketed Rs 2 crores with the deal.

RD Raja, the original producer, is spending money on all promotional activities. So, Dil Raju has no qualms just attending them. Raja indeed is doing this to promote Sivakarthikeyan in Telugu.

Sivakarthikeyan has emerged as a star in Tamil with consecutive hits. But, he is not familiar for Telugus. He hoped of Remo to open market for him in Telugu. Unfortunately, the film got disappointing result.

One thing for sure is Siva won accolades for his performance. So, he may release his next films simultaneously in Telugu too!
