Raees Trailer: Not So Impressive

Raees is an ambitious project for Bollywood baadshah Shah Rukh Khan. The film’s first look teaser where SRK was seen coming out of fog and carrying an iron rod in his hand had got overwhelming response. And movie buffs waited for the film’s trailer like anything. Countdown hashtag for the trailer had been trending in social media for almost a week days.

The much awaited trailer has been unveiled just a while ago. It is okay with SRK being shown in powerful avatar, but it was not up to the mark. The action thriller film directed by Rahul Dholakia is based on the life of Ahmedabad based Abdul Latif, an underworld figure in Gujarat, an associate of Dawood Ibrahim and was also politically well connected.

Though visuals in the trailer are good, it couldn’t reach the high expectations. Cinematography by KU Mohanan is top notch and bgm by Ram Sampath is middling.

SRK is looking rugged in stylish shades and with grown beard. SRK and Nawazuddin Siddiqui’s conflict is expected to be a major highpoint.

Seem like, the film has its share for romance too. Pakistan actress Mahira Khan is making Bollywood debut with Raees which is scheduled to be released on 26 January 2017.
