on Jul 29, 2015

Superstar Mahesh is for the first time having his movie released on same day in Tamil, albeit dubbing version. His Srimanthudu is getting released in the Tamil arena under the name “Selvandan” on August 7th along with the original Telugu version.

Mahesh feels that there is only scope for him to do Tamil movies, because he could speak fluent Tamil after being brought up in Chennai. “I’ve my whole school and college life going on in Chennai and Ooty. As I could speak fluent Tamil, definitely I could try for couple of bilingual projects. I wanted to do one at the earliest”, says Mahesh. What about Bollywood or debuting on TV? “Our TV market is quite small unlike Hindi or Hollywood markets. Except Nagarjuna’s KBC, none is a hit on TV here. Coming to Hindi, I’ve not found anything exciting till date” he concluded.

There is a rumour doing rounds that director A R Murugadoss is working on a script for Mahesh Babu which will be a bilingual, both Telugu and Tamil versions will be simultaneously shot. Mahesh says, “Yeah, we’re trying to work it out”.
