Analysis:

The title- Middle Class Abbayi was catchy and helped to generate buzz on the film. Moreover, the film has Nani in lead role and Sai Pallavi playing female lead. In addition, successful producer Dil Raju has bankrolled the movie. Well, coming to MCA, the movie is all about a middle class youngster Nani who is badly treated by his sister-in-law. But, the big question is why Nani is wasting all his time unnecessarily, though he is smart and has got great memory power. He doesn’t apply for any job and simply does household chores. Meanwhile, he meets Pallavi who loves him to the core. The romantic track was not so unique and boring. A local goon Vijay is introduced as an egoistic fellow who doesn’t like losing. Mother emotion attached to Vijay’s track was improbable. While the first half was so so, the real suffering starts in second half with Nani making efforts to save his sister-in-law. It was so silly that a hardcore criminal in the city waits for right time to attack Nani’s family. Here right time means, in the absence of Nani. Neither the takeoff nor any single episode was engaging in second half till the climax. It’s the result of director Sriram Venu’s full of immaturity.

Artists Performances:

Nani is obviously a performer and he did give justice to the role of a middle class abbayi. In fact, we can sit patiently on seats only to watch Nani’s performance. Sai Pallavi proved her mettle with Fidaa. Surprisingly, she picked a role which doesn’t have any impact. Like other glamorous heroines, Sai Pallavi too is restricted for songs. She is not gorgeous like other top heroines in Telugu. So, she must choose performance oriented roles. Bhumika Chawla is other biggest drawback. She gave same expression for any emotion. She botched to make her mark anywhere. Rajeev Kanakala too was wasted completely. Naresh and Aamani were good. Vijay who played the antagonist was decent. Other artists were okay.

Technical Aspect:
Director Sriram Venu picked an interesting subject which revolves around a middle class abbayi who is tormented by his sister-in-law. Actually, there’s lots of scope to generate fun. Nonetheless, Sriram failed to do so. Though few dialogues here and there provided laughter, Sriram showed his immaturity in direction department as well. Devi Sri Prasad might have given only half of his payment, since no single song in the movie was fascinating. Background score was also not up to the mark. Cinematography by Sameer Reddy was middling and Editor Prawin Pudi forgot to remove many tedious sequences. Production values of Sri Venkateswara Creations are just okay.

Verdict:
MCA is not a Nani mark film. It’s better to skip this movie.
