Story :
Lovers is a story about a girl named Chitra who hates love and men who misuse love to flirt with women. She becomes instrumental in ruining two of Siddhu's (Sumanth Ashwin) love affairs happening with her own friends at diffeant points of time (i.e) School and Inter College.Without knowing who Chitra is, Siddhu falls in love with her and how he changes her perception of love is the story. It involves manipulation, drama and romance throughout the stretch.
Analysis :
The story is told so badly in the film that it get lost leaving audience exhausted. Except for Saptagiri's comedy there is nothing that could be called as sensible cinema in this dud called Lovers.What surprises us is that, how can a unique concept be executed in such a vague pattern ??? Lovers as a Movie is between bad and worst.
Performances :
Sumanth did subtle acting. However, he should stop twitching his eye brows n rolling his eyes.
Nanditha became chubby leaving no space for expression on her face. Bad make up makes it worst.
Actors like Shamili and Tejaswi had small and significant roles and both of them carried it well.
Sapthagiri is the hero of Lovers. His comedy plays a vital role in entertaining audience. He did fabulously well in the movie.
Technical Aspect
Direction :
Maruthi has disappointed audience with the weakest execution in his entire career. It is yet to identified if we need to blame Maruthi or Hari in this regard. One the whole, direction of this movie is totally lethargic.
Cinematography and Music :
Both these aspects are like glass dolls in the film. Fragile is the right word !!! It all looks good but there is no life.
Telugu One Perspective
Plus Points :
Sapthagiri saved the second half of the film and he was brilliant.
Minus Points :
No soul in the story
No sincerity in the narrative
Bottom Line :
Lovers hasn't touched the heart and the title isn't justified at all. On the whole, it feels like a Break Up !!!
