As A Journalist: Very few people know that, Krishnam Raju started his journey as a journalist for the Andhra Patrika. He was awarded the Second Best Photographer in state level. He is fond of cameras and has a collection of cameras.
Cinema Debut: Krishnam Raju entered Tollywood in 1966 with the film Chilaka Gorinka which won Nandi Award for Best Feature Film - Silver for that year. He acted in many films with the established actors N. T. Rama Rao and Akkineni Nageswara Rao.

Political Career: Krishnam Raju contested an unsuccessful election in 1992 from Narsapuram on a Congress ticket. After a brief hibernation, he rejoined politics, accepting an invitation from the Bharatiya Janata Party. He won the 1998 Lok Sabha elections from Kakinada. He was in the advisory committees of the Information and Broadcasting and Commerce and Industry Ministries during 1998-99. In 2009 he joined Praja Rajyam Party founded by Chiranjeevi. In 2009 State Assembly elections he contested for M.P. seat from Rajahmundry and lost as he was associated with PRP.
For now, Krishnam Raju is away from films and politics. Hope, he will come back to films and entertain us for few more years.
