Kona Venkat Convinces Bachchan

Writer Kona Venkat who once provided blockbuster scripts for star directors has missed the magic in his recent films. Apparently, his focus on production disturbed him to pen entertaining stories. His last movie as writer and co-producer Abhinetri that starred Prabhu Deva, Tamannah Bhatia and Sonu Sood in lead roles too ended as a flop.

When no Telugu director or actor is keen on working with Kona, he got two Bollywood offers. The talented writer has provided script for Boney Kapoor’s latest production Mom which has the latter’s wife Sridevi in lead role.

The second project is of Abhishek Bachchan. Billed to be a science fiction thriller in the lines of Ghajini, Small B’s home production AB Corporation will be bankrolling the project starts rolling soon. Prabhu Deva will direct the film.

The yet to be titled movie is about an eccentric guy who is left-handed, just like Abhishek is in real life. “Abhishek’s character doesn’t have super powers, but his character becomes powerful. He will build his body for the film as he needs to have a certain kind of body type for it,” says Kona.

Hope both these films give much needed break for Kona who is also willing to wield mega phone soon!
