'Kabali' in Malaysia has a different climax

on Jul 24, 2016

Kabali has been released in various languages around the world. It was also released in Malay for the first time, which is an official language of Malaysia. Reports coming in from the country suggest that the climax of the film in Malaysia differs from the one in India. Apparently this was done because of some censor board issues in Malaysia.

Some posts on social networking sites claim that the climax was changed because the Censor board in Malaysia would not allow their police to be shown encouraging an extra-judicial killing. Kabali continues to be the talk of the town, as now there are several questions popping up, because this is the first time a Rajinikanth movie might have a different ending.

The screenshot of the ending in the Malaysian version of the movie is going viral on social media. Though these all seem to be mere speculation, there is no confirmation of the same from any official source related to the film. Lets just wait and see if the makers come up with the reason for the change in climax!
