Present day generation has everything in their lives. They have too many choices to make... but lacks strong will to chose the best out of them. This impasse applies even to their decisions in marriage. This is the baseline on which director Lakshman Karya has made a movie. Would this thn line appease the audience and drag them to the theatres. Let’s watch...

Story:

Anand(Sumanth Aswin) and Akshara(Niharika) are the love birds who wish to get their relation bonded with a wedding knot. But few misunderstandings crop up which turns their relation into doldrums. Akshara goes through a dilemma whether she should go ahead with the marriage or not. At the same time her previous boy friend Vijay too appears on the screen. So could Ashara make her mind between Anand and Vijay. How did the family react to the split between the bride and the groom form the rest of the story.

Analysis:

A girl that always feel insecured about her love and a boy who thinks with big heart and hopes that his lover would change her mind... are two different characters that form this love story. The director has selected a nice family background for the movie. Every character has been designed positively. The first half in which the heroine feels confused between the love of Anand and Vijay has been presented quite emotionally. The climax would also impress the audience. The scenes would reflect the psychology of girls and their fears. But the conflict between hero and heroine aren’t quite strong.

The fears in the mind of Akshara would sometime look silly. There is a lot of positive atmosphere in grooms house. Even her aunt would receive her like mother. She even surrenders the keys of a new flat to the bride for the sake of privacy. How could a girl feel frightened in such circumstances? There is some confusion in the role of heroine. The director too got confused while summing it up. The audience could expect that the hero and heroine would meet again at the very moment when they get separated. But the ways in which they would come back together would be interesting. There are some emotional scenes that would impress the audience. But the tempo isn’t maintained all over the movie. Sometimes, it looks too forced. In some places dialogues were written very robustly and at some other places, they remind us of daily serials. At last we get a feeling that a story that’s suitable to a short film has been turned into a movie in serial mode.

Actors:

Sumanth Ashwin should probably get better in his acting. His performance in some place look superficial. Niharika would score more marks. She could stay strong though she stumbled at some places. She stood like a wax statue in some other places. Naresh and Murali Sharma has played roles that are regular to them. There aren’t any scenes that would challenge their talent. We can’t find a blot in other characters too as everyone is experienced.

Technical Aspects:

No one would imagine that this sort of low budget movie would come from the organisation such as UV creations. They might have thought that the story doen’t demand more budget than this. At some places, poetry took the place of dialogues. The music delivered by Taman is additional attraction.

Final Verdict:

Happy Wedding is the story of a girl. An attempt was made to picturise the psychology of girls. The very thought is nice, but the making and taking stand in the level of a short film. It would have been better if this was turned into a web series.
