GPSK Gets Shocking TRP Rating

Natasimha Nandamuri Balakrishna’s prestigious 100th film Gautamiputra Satakarni was a commercial hit. The film directed by Krish provided profits to producers as well as distributors. GPSK was premiered in MAA TV on the special eve of Ugadi. In fact, the reason for premiering the film on special date was the Satavahana emperor Gautamiputra Satakarni is believed to have initiated the era. Ugadi marks the start of the Satavahana era.
While the film was a huge box office hit, the premiere show was a utter disaster. The first television premiere of GPSK got just 5.52 rating. Although many predicted the film to get record TRP ratings, it got shocking response from TV viewers.
MAA Tv acquired GPSK satellite rights for whopping Rs 9 crores. However, the lukewarm response would disappoint the Television Channel management who bought the rights for fancy price.
