Vegetable cake

 

 

Ingredients:

Rava/ Semolina           - 1 cup

Curd                             - 1/2 cup

Water                           - 1/2 cup

Salt                               - 1 tsp

Red chilli Powder          - 1/2 tsp

Cumin Seeds                - 1 tsp

Mustard seeds              - 1 tsp

Chilli Flakes                  - 1 tbsp

Oregano                       - 1 tbsp

Baking Soda                 - 1/2 tsp

Chopped onion             - 1/2 cup

Chopped Beans            - 1/4 cup

Chopped Bell pepper   - 1/4 cup

Grated carrot                - 1/4 cup

Peas                             - 1/4 cup

Grated ginger               - 1 tbsp

Green chilli                   - 1 tbsp

Olive oil                        - 1 tbsp

 

Procedure:

* In a bowl, Mix semolina/ rava with curd, water and all the spices. Keep this batter aside for 10 minutes.

* Heat a pan and add oil. Once oil is hot, add mustard seeds and cumin seeds. now add chopped onion and saute it for 5 min. Add chopped beans, chopped bell paper and peas to the onions and saute these vegetables for another 5 minute.

* Add sauted vegetables along with grated carrot, ginger and green chilli to the batter and make a smooth batter of medium consistency. 

* Now add baking soda and transfer the mixture to a greased mould. Sprinkle chilli flakes and oregano on top of it.

* Keep this mould in a preheated oven at 180 C for 20-25 min.

* Slice it once it comes to room temperature and Serve it with your choice of sauce.
