Vegan Burgers

Vegan population is increasing these days...earlier people were forced to become vegans due to certain food allergies, or they adopted the vegan lifestyle due to their love for Animals but people are converting to Veganism with craze, it has become a fashion not just a passion !

For Vegans, there were very few food choices in restaurants and grocery stores, earlier but the current trend has changed and floated many Vegan-only food chains, Vegan grocery options at many stores too. Today, i would introduce you to a fine, easy and spicy vegan burger recipe.

Ingredients Needed:

1 cup grated carrots
1 cup oats
1 cup cooked black beans
1/4 cup roasted and chopped almonds
1.5 cups fine bread crumbs
1/4 cup low sodium soy sauce
2 Tbsp Chia seeds
1/2 cup water
1/2 onion, diced
1/2 clove garlic, minced
1/2 tbsp cumin ( jeera) powder
Chilli powder for taste
1/4 cup chopped cilanthro ( coriander)
1 tbsp sesame oil
1 tbsp coconut oil
Flour for dredging

Procedure:

For burgers as a glue medium, one mixes egg, but this is a vegan recipe, hence in a bowl of water, mix chia seeds and let sit for 10 minutes, until the seeds become gooey.
In a medium skillet, put half amount coconut oil amd sauté onions and garlic until onions are transparent. Remove items from heat into a mixing bowl and let cool. Now combine the chia water, all other ingredients well, and make 6-7 burger patties using flour for dredging.

Heat remaining coconut oil in a large pan over medium heat. Toast the burgers until golden brown on both sides and heated through. Thats it...its just the word 'vegan' that looks complicated not the procedure to cook. Savor these healthy, vegan burgers when hot with bread, or just with lettuce leaves! You can even cool the burgers and freeze them for future use.
