Spicy Aloo Gravy




* 4 potatoes  

* 2 small tomatoes

* 1 tsp jeera powder 

* 1 tsp coriander powder

* 1/2 tsp turmeric

* 1 tsp Red chilli powder

* 1/2 tsp garam masala

* 1/4 tsp dry mango/ amchur powder

* 2 tsp finely chopped coriander

* 1/2 tsp green chillies chopped

* 1 or 2 cup water

* Pinch of hing

* 1 tbsp oil

* Salt to taste



Heat the cooker. Add oil..add heeng then jeera and dhania. Fry for a minute. Add finely chopped tomatoes. Cook till tomatoes become soft and tender and start leaving the sides of a cooker. Add red chilli powder, turmeric, salt. Add potatoes  which are cut into medium sized pieces. Mix all the masala well with potatoes. Add 1 cup water. Now cover the lid. Cook it on medium flame for three whistles. Switch off the flame. Open the lid once it cools down. Add garam masala and amchur powder. Garnish with chopped coriander. Serve hot with puris or rotis.
