Rice Kheer




1 and 1/2 ltr full cream milk

1/2 cup rice

1 cup sugar

1/2 tsp elachi powder 

Mix dry fruits 


First soak rice in enough water for 4 to 5 hrs. In a heavy bottom pan pour milk and bring it to a boil. Simmer the flame. Now drain the water from soaked rice and add the rice to it. Cook it till milk is reduced to half. Keep stirring the kheer in order to avoid it from sticking to the sides. Add elachi powder to it. Stir well. Finally add sugar and nuts. Garnish with almonds and serve it.
