Moong Dal  Halwa

 

 

Ingrediants:


1 cup -Moong Dal
12-15-Kishmish (Raisins)
6-8-Badam (Almonds) cut into small pieces.
6-8-Kaaju (Cashew nuts) cut into small pieces.
1/2 tsp-Elaichi (Cardamom) Powder
3 cups-Milk
1 Cup Sugar
½ cup Sweetened Condensed Milk
¾  cup Pure Ghee

Procedure:

•    Clean and soak the moong dal for 60 minutes, drain and grind to a coarse paste.
•    Fry the dry fruits in ghee till it turns golden brown, take out  and keep them aside.
•    Now Fry the dal paste in ghee, till it turns golden brown.
•    Add sugar followed by the milk and cook on low flame, stirring continuously, till milk dries up. Then add Sweetened Condensed Milk and cook, stirring continuously, till desired consistency is reached.
•    Add cardamom powder to the mix. Mix well and transfer to a bowl. Garnish with the almonds, raisins and Cashew nuts.
