ATA sponsored the local Ugadi event which was marked by the national launch of "ATA- I want to be American President Contest" furthering the goal of ATA to increase political awareness, inclusion and mainstream political empowerment for the next generation. ATA encourages social and cultural creativity and in spirit of that goal ATA helped release the trailer of the feature film FENCES - created by talented Telugu artists from Minnesota.

ATA used the TEAM event to introduce themselves to the larger Telugu community in Minneapolis and impress upon them the goals and values ATA espouses. This was very well received based on the questions, interests, new memberships and funds that were raised by ATA Minnesota. ATA raised $75000(Raffle, donations, memberships and pledges).

Mahipathi Nagendar (ATA coordinator), Karunakar Madhavaram (President-Elect), Karunakar Asireddy (Convention convenor) Rammohan Konda(Secretary-ATA), Satya Reddy Kandimalla (Treasurer-ATA), Narender Reddy Chemerla (ATA Board) and Mahesh Tanneru (Columbus chapter) graced the event along with other ATA members.

Minnesota ATA hosted the board members and has done brainstorming at Lake Sylvia- Annandale and Hindu Temple of Minnesota welcoming the ATA Board to the temple and has done pooja for the successful convention to be held during July 6- July 8 2012. ATA announced the Mega Raffle (Mercedes Benz E350) to be drawn for the convention. Draw date: July 8 2012 8 pm at Atlanta convention.
