Bollywood star Sonu Nigam hit the headlines for his controversial religious remarks. On Moday, he tweeted saying, “God bless everyone. I’m not a Muslim and I have to be woken up by the Azaan in the morning. When will this forced religiousness end in India.”
Kolkata-based cleric Syed Sha Atef Ali Al Quaderi reacted to Sonu Nigam comments and announced a reward of Rs 10 lakh to anybody who can tonsure the singer and garland him with old shoes.
Nigam accepted the challenge and tweeted, “Today at 2pm, Aalim will come to my place and shave my head. Keep your 10 lakhs ready Maulvi.”
Nigam said in a press conference that he raised a social topic and not a religious one and apologised “if someone thought otherwise”. “I am a secular person. It was not about azaan, it was about the loud sound. Playing loud sound on a speaker is gundagardi for me,” Nigam told reporters.
The singer may shaved his head, but he is not getting the Rs 10 lakh promised to him by West Bengal cleric Syed Sha Atef Ali Al Quaderi. The cleric says he will pay the money if and only if Sonu fulfill his other 2 conditions of the singer wearing two-garland of old torn shoes and tour around the country.
Meanwhile, a written complaint was filed today against Sonu Nigam in Marathwada's Aurangabad over this issue.

Tamil actor Dhanush has opposed to DNA test. The 'Raghuvaran B Tech' star told the Madras High Court Bench that he was objecting the plea for a DNA test made by an old couple who had filed a maintenance case before a lower court claiming to be his biological parents.
Dhanush says it's not because he had something to hide, but because his honesty and right to privacy should not be tested at the instance of people who file senseless cases.
Dhanush's objection for DNA Test however raises many doubts. If he is truthful about whatever he is saying, then why don't he accept for DNA Test which won't be a bothering thing for him. Moreover, a conclusion will come in the case with the DNA Test.
Dhanush had previously filed a petition seeking to quash the case filed by R Kathiresan (65) and K Meenakshi (53) before a Judicial Magistrate at Melur near here in November, seeking maintenance amount of ₹65,000 a month.
Jana Sena Chief Pawan Kalyan once again raised his voice regarding special status issue. Apparently, he is disapponited with the way TDP MP's behaved in the parliament yesterday. Surprisingly, Pawan thanked YSRCP Congress MP's and Telangana MP's who spoke in support of Special Status to Andhra Pradesh. With this, he sent a message that, his party will support those who fight for well-being of Telugu people. Here are the series of tweets by Pawan Kalyan:
* My wholehearted thanks to T-MPs 'Kesava Rao Garu&Rapolu Ananda bhaskar Garu for their support to AP spl status
* YSRCP MPs are doing a commendable job in pursuing AP Spl status at centre
* I think TDP MPs have forgotten the insult of their MPs getting beaten by North MPs in the parliament during the state bifurcation.
* I request TDP, "DO NOT MORTGAGE THE SELF RESPECT"of People of AP to centre for your personal benefits.
* I too agree to show restraint and to be cautious with centre but when repeated injustice is being meted out to us then where is the need.
* As per the popular demand,Would they ever divide UP ? Or the Rule was applied only to down south state AP' only?
* When do we lose our Moral high ground with centre? When we Mortgage our self respect for personal benefits.
*It's quite disheartening to see Hon. Minister Sri Ashok Gajapathi Raju garu's silence and the absence of TDP MP's in the parliament when the discussion of special status to AP came up. TDP don't have the right to compromise on the promised 'special status category' with centre as 'people of AP' got TDP and BJP into power trusting they would bring 'SCS'.
*Attitude of our political class (in Delhi)- you put us down by our skin color, we are ok, you mock at us for speaking in our Dravida tongue, we are ok; In parliament you kick us, abuse us and divide us, we are ok. And we are ok to be slavish and subservient at the cost of our people's self respect as long as you do not deny our contacts, business opportunities, bailing us out from scams and wrong doings.”

The I-T raids that began on Friday morning at properties and offices belonging to state Health Minister C Vijayabaskar, Sarathkumar, MGR Medical University VC Dr Geetalakshmi and AIADMK politician Chitlapakkam Rajendran were reportedly in connection with the distribution of cash during campaigning at RK Nagar.

Former Indian Cricketer and Punjab Minister Navjot Singh Sidhu lands in trouble for cracking vulgar jokes on Kapil Sharma’s reality show. The Punjab government has received a complaint against Sidhu, which says Sidhu cracked inappropriate and double-meaning jokes on the show.
Days after the Punjab and Haryana High Court questioned Sidhu’s regular appearances in The Kapil Sharma Show despite holding an office in the newly elected Punjab government, a Punjab-based senior advocate has filed a complaint against him for his double meaning humor on the show.
In a letter to Punjab chief secretary Karan A Singh, HC Arora, who had filed a PIL against Sidhu in the case wrote, "I viewed The Kapil Sharma Show on Saturday from 9 pm to around 10.15 pm. The ‘comedy’ of Kapil Sharma, and particularly that of Navjot Singh Sidhu was replete with vulgar, double-meanings and obscene dialogues. It violated various provisions of the Indian Penal Code, 1860, as well as those of the Information and Technology (IT) Act."
Arora was of the view that it was improper of a minister to crack such lewd jokes.

India is playing like champions in fourth and last test match against Australia. The visitors got all out by scoring just 137 runs in the second innings, giving India a target of 106 runs to win the test match as well as the series. At the end of the day, India is wicket less for 19 runs. Both the openers KL Rahul and Murali Vijay have played well not to lose any wicket. In fact, this will help the team psychologically to play strong tomorrow.
As well as India bowled in the second innings, they owe a lot of this to the batting of Jadeja and Saha. There was great application and temperament shown by both. Jadeja joined Kohli, Vijay and Rahul with six scored of 50 or above scores this home season. Then Umesh Yadav was sensational. The other bowlers then did their job to give India only 106 to chase.
Let’s hope, India will complete the formalities before the lunch to seize the Border-Gavaskar trophy.
Debutante Kuldeep Yadav leads India off the field after having brought them right back in to the Test today. India were looking at a world of pain when Australia ran away to 130 for 1 at the Lunch, but this has been an amazing comeback. Australia's tail hung in to take them to 300 on an interesting pitch that has kept both quicks and spinners interested without really looking unplayable. Kuldeep took four wickets for 68 runs.
Australia's captain Steven Smith motored to his third century of the series - one of only six visiting batsmen to score that many in India - but was left without significant top-order support, as the Indian debutant Kuldeep Yadav weaved a wrist spinner's web around the tourists on the first afternoon of the decisive fourth Test in Dharamsala.
Kuldeep Yadav was actually roped in place of Captain Virat Kohli who couldn’t play the test match owing to injury in last match. It will be interesting to see how Indian batsmen will play on the pitch which has something for the bowlers.
Superstar Rajinikanth is in dilemma whether to enter politics or not. In fact, his contemporary Chiranjeevi’s bad experience is politics is making him think numerous times. There have been various stories about Rajini’s political entry, post Tamil Nadu former chief minister Jayalalithaa’s death. Some reported that, he would join Bharatiya Janata Party; few predicted he would support Panneerselvam and others forecasted he may launch his own party.
Condemning all the reports, Rajinikanth stated that, he will not support any party in the next elections in the state. “My support is for no one in the coming elections,” informed Rajinikanth.
This statement would bother BJP biggies who thought the superstar would back their party in Tamil Nadu. Narendra Modi also had an opinion of it would be better for BJP if Rajinikanth would be face of the party in the state. Unfortunately, Rajini is not keen on joining politics or supporting any party for now.
On the work front, Rajinikanth is presently busy wrapping up the most prestigious project Robo 2.0 which is slated for release during Diwali.
Superstar Rajinikanth Robo 2.0 director S Shankar has apologized after his production unit attacked two photo journalists in Chennai today. "I am sorry. I shall ensure incidents like this won't repeat. It has happened without my knowledge," Shankar told the media persons. Rajinikanth was not present on set, when the incident took place.
The journalists reportedly questioned why the film unit had blocked a road in the Chennai neighborhood of Thiruvallikeni. They also reportedly asked if the unit had permission to shoot during the day. A complaint has been filed against the film's production manager, a bouncer and director S Shankar's nephew.
Most of Robo 2.0 has already been filmed, except for a song and some 'patchwork'. The film also stars Akshay Kumar and actress Amy Jackson is scheduled for release during Diwali.

On the other hand, Chandrababu Naidu donated Rs 25 lakh to the Tirumala Tirupathi Devasthanam for annadanam one whole day at Annadanam Satram. Chandrababu can’t be there today in Tirumala as he is busy with assembly sessions.

Former Karnataka chief minister SM Krishna is all set to join the Bharatiya Janata Party in the presence of national president Amit Shah at the party’s national headquarters in New Delhi at 5 pm on Wednesday. Senior BJP leader R Ashok is coordinating Krishna’s BJP joining program.
The 84-year-old Krishna had severed his nearly 50-year-old association with the Congress on January 28 expressing dissatisfaction with being ignored by the party high command.
SM Krishna had gruffly postponed his plans to join the BJP last week following the death of his sister. It is learnt that the BJP State unit is keen to include Krishna into its fold before the by-polls to Nanjangud and Gundlupet Assembly constituencies are completed, as it wants to use his political influence in this part of the State to its advantage.
Australia’s middle order batsmen Shaun Marsh and Peter Handscomb held their nerve admirably for Australia to draw third test match with India. Ishant Sharma and Ravindra Jadeja defeated Matt Renshaw and Steven Smith within the space of four balls in the morning session to leave the tourists in deep trouble. But Marsh and Handscomb refused to panic, combining for a calm and sensible stand of 124 that prevented India from winning the test match and taking lead in the series.
Though Marsh got out in Jadeja’s bowling after scoring 53 runs in 197 balls, Handscomb was there batting unbeaten with 72 runs until India’s captain Virat Kohli offers Australia the draw. The first time a visiting team has batted out a draw after trailing in the first innings in India since 2010-11. And that on a pitch with a lot of rough outside the left-hand batsmen's off stump.
Jadeja picked 4 wickets and R Ashwin, Ishant Sharma took one wicket each.
India’s dominating show continues in third test match with Australia and the Virat Kohli led team is inching towards win. India owned the first session on fifth day. Bowlers took two big wickets of Smith and Renshaw, and just conceded60 runs. Australia is still 69 behind, and basically their lesser batsmen will have to replicate that determination and application in more difficult conditions if they are to even level the scores here.
While Renshaw was first to go in Ishant’s bowling, Jadeja took Smith’s wicket. Currently, Shaun Marsh and Handscomb are at the crease with 15 and 4 runs respectively. The way Indian bowlers are bowling today, Australia may pack up in shorter period. So, India bounced back strongly after losing first test. They have won second test and are inch close to take lead in the series.
Chateswar Pujara becomes savior for India, when the team struggles to give tough competition to opposite teams. The Mr defendable scored a ton in the third test match against Australia. India is at 303/4, is giving tough fight to Aussies with Pujara and Karun Nair at the crease.
India lost Murali Vijay at the stroke of lunch after the opener and Cheteshwar Pujara had built a strong platform on the third morning in Ranchi, aided by a strong dose of good fortune when both batsmen might have been out in the space of two balls. Their stand was worth 102 when Vijay advanced unsuccessfully to O'Keefe.
Captain Virat Kohli disappointed once again by getting out cheaply after scoring just 6 runs. Ajinkya Rahane too disappointed by scoring only 14 runs in a flat pitch, where bowlers getting not much support from the pitch.
India still are trail by 148 runs with 6 wickets remaining in the 1st innings.
