Valentines’ Day with your family

The advent of children in your life slowly changes the Romantic perspective in your lives. But that shouldn’t be a reason why you should stop yourself from going out and having a good time on this Valentines’ Day.

Now finding the ‘alone time’ with each other is a tough task if you have little babies and their nappy and feeding routines. But try to get out of the parent mode for a little while and spend some quality time with your loved one though it’s tough. Ask for help from your family members or friends so that they can take care of them while you two make a quick getaway for lunch or dinner.

Few tips to make the most of Valentine’s Day

1. Just because we don’t have the time to do something is not an excuse. Simple gestures are enough. Do a little something or anything, that gets out you out of parent mode. Get creative with new ideas.

2. Spend one hour together eating after the baby goes to bed. This one night, have a conversation without discussing diapers and school homework. Change the mood with dim lighting. It can make a huge difference.  The clichéd but oft repeated statement- “Light the candles and turn on music to set the mood."

3. SMS your love message while he/she is at work/home. This is like a prelude to a romantic evening when you get back home. A back and forth message charade will also be fun way to enjoying valentine’s day.

4. When you massage your partner, oxytocin is released which is referred to as the love hormone. So try the wonderful head and body massage after the little ones go to bed.

5. A shower with some fresh clothes and mild deo will boost your confidence and not make you feel like you have just finished the house hold chores .This can obviously do wonders to increase the romance quotient.

6.Make sure the house is clutter free and neatly set and it doesn’t look as if its struck by Tsunami with books diapers clothes and other stuff lying in the house. A habit if you continue to do will keep you calm and happy in the future too.

A Happy Valentine’s Day !
