The Telangana state government that has been condemning the AP government’s allegations about tapping of its phones has filed a petition in the high court appealing it to stop the mobile service providers from handing over the call data records to Vijayawada magistrate court. It hires leading lawyer Ram Jetmalani to argue in this case. He is arguing that Vijayawada court has no right to order the service providers of Telangana state to submit their call records to it.
Whether, the high court agrees with his arguments or not, Telangana government’s present move is clearly revealing that it is desperate to hide their call data records, and thus strengthening the allegations levied against it by Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu and his ministers. If, it was not indulged in phone tapping, it need not to threaten the mobile service providers or file petition in the high court today to stop them from handing over their call data records to Vijayawada court.
Earlier, the service providers have revealed that the Telangana government has asked them to tap some specific phones of the AP government and they did it. Now, it appears the Telangana government is endorsing their statement and the allegations of the AP government by filing a petition in the high court today.
