Speaking to the party workers in the working committee, Congress president Rahul Gandhi has warned that he won’t be hesitating to take action against those who weaken the party with petty issues. Though Rahul has not named anyone in the context, observers claim that the statement was directed towards Shashi Tharoor. Shashi in recent times has been targeting the Hindutva agenda of BJP. He criticised that BJP will create a `Hindu Pakistan’ if comes into power again. He further alleged that they will tear away the constitution and build a new one. These remarks have naturally received a backlash from the BJP. Sensing a disaster ahead Rahul has warned strict action against those who weaken the party's "bigger fights".
