How to find inner peace in this busy life

We can't give excuses that our busy lifestyle is stopping us from finding inner peace. However, there are ways to step back and find peace in our busy world.

If you are ready to take inspiration from traditional living, here are the ways and means to take you in to a peaceful world.

Enjoy the moment:

It’s important to be truly present, and not to think about where else you could be, or with whom else. Introduce rituals with friends and family like one meal in a day along with family without fail and get-togethers and outings at least once in a month. And when you are there, enjoy the moment fully.

Date with self:

Just hold on to some quietness in yourself while you’re out in the world. Silence helps you look, think and figure things out. And when you go back to people, it also helps you to listen better. Also try to book an appointment with yourself, for example every Friday at 6am. Sit in a place quietly and make a note of your feelings then. Trust me, “Knowing your own self” gives loads of energy.

Develop Networking skills:

There’s nothing so fruitful as meeting ‘different’ people; it helps reinforce our identity. Welcoming different personalities, who aren’t like us, but who respect us, challenges our beliefs and prejudices. This develops our capacity to empathise and calms our fear of the unknown. Widen your social circle and speak to someone you wouldn't normally spend time with. Join a cooking club, a music class, or a theatre society. Volunteer for a charity. Organise parties with different groups. These activities will rejuvenate you for sure.

Meditate regularly:

Meditation is about grounding oneself in the present, so that we can feel part of something bigger. It is one of the best ways to reduce anxiety and brings inner peace. Give pauses in your day, in which you concentrate on your breathing, and all your senses. Take five minutes when you wake up and also when you go to bed to breathe in and out with your eyes shut. Do this until you feel relaxed.

Along with the above, Giving thanks to the universe, appreciating happy moments( however small they are) will attract more inner peace in life.
