Well! Facing a financial crisis is always natural to any organisation. But it would be surprising that a giant institution like Air India gets into a position where it could not even pay salaries to the staff. For the fifth month in a row Air India is said to making huge delay in disbursing the pay cheques. The pilots association is of course not happy with the turn of events. It has warned the management that delay of payment could affect the safety of passengers. “Financial uncertainty is a source of frustration, anxiety and stress, which result in undue fatigue, adversely impacting flight safety and the overall performance levels of employees,” said the statement issued by the employees association. However the civil aviation ministry is making all the plans to infuse huge amounts into the company to make it financially viable and fit to race with the competitors.
