Rao Bahadur’s Desa Sanchari Brings Retro Rock Energy
Satyadev has built a reputation for taking unconventional roles and Rao Bahadur looks set to continue that trend. Directed by Venkatesh Maha and presented by Mahesh Babu, the upcoming psychological drama has already generated strong curiosity with its trailer and first single Sundari. With the film gearing up for release on July 3rd, the makers have now unveiled the second single, Desa Sanchari. Unlike conventional promotional songs, Desa Sanchari embraces an old-school rock and roll identity while giving it a visually theatrical presentation. The track acts as a tribute to retro music and vintage performance styles, while still fitting into the dark and immersive world that the film appears to promise. One of the biggest highlights of the song is Satyadev’s surprising screen transformation. Styled with shades reminiscent of classic rock performers, the actor takes on demanding ballroom-inspired choreography with confidence and fluidity. The entire song being staged inside a cage adds an unusual visual texture and reflects Venkatesh Maha’s attempt to create something symbolic rather than straightforward. Musically, Smaran Sai delivers a composition packed with rhythm and energy while balancing retro influences with contemporary presentation. Hemachandra’s deep vocal texture drives the track effectively and Priyanka Gajanan’s voice adds additional character to the arrangement. The choreography further enhances the mood by focusing on movement, poses and flexibility rather than large-scale spectacle. Produced by Anurag Reddy, Sharath Chandra and Chinta Gopalakrishna Reddy, Rao Bahadur is positioning itself as a psychological drama with a distinctive visual and musical identity. Rukmini Vasanth Viral Bikini Pics Case: Police Arrest Three
The controversy around viral bikini visuals falsely linked to actress Rukmini Vasanth has now moved beyond social media discussion into legal action. In a major development on June 20, Bengaluru Cyber Crime Police arrested three people accused of creating and circulating AI-generated images and videos using the actress’s identity. The issue first exploded in May after manipulated visuals began spreading online claiming to show Rukmini in a poolside bikini shoot. The actress quickly responded and clarified that the content was completely fabricated using AI and deepfake tools. She called it a serious violation of privacy and announced legal action against those responsible. Following her complaint, cyber authorities opened an investigation and traced multiple accounts involved in creating and amplifying the content. Earlier this month, FIRs had reportedly been registered against 29 social media accounts across platforms as investigators expanded the digital trail and sought platform cooperation. Now, police have confirmed the arrest of three accused allegedly connected to generating and distributing the manipulated visuals. Reports state that mobile phones used in creating and sharing the content were seized as part of the probe. The accused were produced before a judicial magistrate and remanded while further investigation continues into whether additional people were involved. The development marks one of the stronger responses seen in a celebrity deepfake case in India. While there is no final court verdict yet, the arrests indicate that authorities are treating AI-driven impersonation and digital character assassination with increasing seriousness. Rukmini had earlier stated that such misuse of technology does not affect only public figures but can become a wider issue for women online. Sid Sriram delivers another pleasant hit with Oriya Pilla
Sree Vishnu has steadily built a strong image as an entertainer with films that connected across sections of audiences. But with Comrade Kalyan, the actor seems to be stepping into a noticeably different space. Directed by Janakiram Marella, the film places him in a rural setting and presents him in an extremist-inspired character backdrop, marking a departure from the urban entertainers he has been associated with in recent years. The makers have now released the film’s latest single, Oriya Pilla, and the track instantly stands out for its breezy energy and youthful charm. Rather than focusing on intensity, the song reveals the softer and more playful side of Sree Vishnu’s character as he openly expresses his affection towards leading lady Mahima Nambiar. The village backdrop and vibrant visuals give the song a refreshing identity. Musically, Vijay Bulganin delivers a tune that feels instantly accessible while carrying strong repeat value. The composition blends peppy rhythm with Carnatic influences and gets an emotional lift through Sid Sriram’s rendition. His vocals bring warmth and depth to the romantic portions while maintaining the energetic momentum of the track. On screen, Sree Vishnu appears comfortable in the rustic atmosphere and his dance moves add liveliness to the frames. Mahima Nambiar looks convincing in the village setting and the chemistry between the lead pair becomes one of the major highlights of the song. The choreography and colourful presentation further elevate the experience. Produced by Venkata Krishna Karnati and Seetha Karnati, Comrade Kalyan is gearing up for a theatrical release this August. Going by the promotional material so far, the film appears to be aiming for a fresh flavour while retaining the entertaining qualities that audiences expect from Sree Vishnu. Balan: The Boy Movie Review
Cast: Adhisheshan K R, Farzana Palathingal, Muhammed Zinaan, Jean Paul Lal, Girish A.D., Tovino Thomas Crew: Written by Jithu Madhavan Cinematography by Shyju Khalid Music by Sushin Shyam Editing by Vivek Harshan Directed by Chidambaram Produced by Venkat K Narayana, Shailaja Desai Fenn After delivering one of Malayalam cinema’s biggest successes with Manjummel Boys, director Chidambaram has returned with a completely different film in Balan: The Boy. Instead of aiming for scale and thrills, he opts for an intimate psychological drama with emotional undertones. The film released in theatres and here is our review. Plot: Balan is a young boy who has grown up under unusual circumstances with his mother. Their life has largely been built around changing identities and moving constantly to avoid confronting a difficult past. Eventually, they arrive at a remote place where his mother begins working as a caretaker and hopes to find stability. But buried secrets, old decisions and the constant fear of losing freedom begin affecting both of them. As Balan slowly starts understanding the truth behind his life and his mother’s choices, their relationship faces difficult emotional tests. What happens to them and where their journey leads forms the rest of the story. Analysis: Chidambaram avoids making this an easy emotional drama. He takes a slow-burn route and focuses more on atmosphere, behaviour and emotional silence rather than conventional dramatic highs. This approach works for a large part because the film remains invested in its characters. Adhisheshan delivers a striking performance and carries the emotional burden of the film impressively. Farzana Palathingal complements him well and their scenes together become the emotional backbone. Their bond feels organic and believable throughout. Technically, the film stands tall. Shyju Khalid’s cinematography creates a sense of isolation and mystery while Vivek Harshan’s editing keeps the narrative engaging despite its deliberate pace. Sushin Shyam’s background score quietly elevates tension and emotion whenever needed. However, the film’s biggest limitation is also its strength. The screenplay demands patience and the second half stretches more than necessary. Certain portions become repetitive and the climax may not completely satisfy audiences expecting a stronger payoff. Yet, the emotional depth and performances help the film stay impactful. Positives: Performances Emotional Core Technical Brilliance Negatives: Slow Pace Stretched Second Half Climax Could Have Been Better Less Effective Narrative Bottomline: A well-made slow-burn psychological drama that rewards patient viewers Rating: 2.5/5 Disclaimer: The views/opinions expressed in this review are personal views/opinions shared by the writer and organisation does not hold a liability to them. Transfer Trimurthulu Movie Review
Cast: Vadde Naveen, Raashi Singh, Devi Prasad, Shilpa Tulaskar, Baba Baskar, Raghu Babu Crew: Written by Kamal Teja Narla, Naveen Vadde Cinematography by Karthik Sai Kumar Music by Kalyan Nayak Editing by Vijay Mukthavarapu Directed by Kamal Teja Narla Produced by Naveen Vadde Naveen Vadde made a great impression on audiences in late 1990's and early 2000's. But he lost his market due to continuous flops and slowly stopped working. He made a comeback to big screens with Transfer Trimurthulu in the direction of Kamal Teja Narla. The movie stars Raashi Singh as leading lady and it released, Today. Let's discuss about the film in detail. Plot: Police Constable Trimurthulu (Vadde Naveen) gets transferred 56 times in 7 years of his service. His sincerity and honesty force him to face wrath of his senior officials. His wife Lakshmi (Raashi Singh) and kid are accustomed to these transfers. At one meeting, he spoils Chief Minister (Shilpa Tulaskar)'s plans to launch her son as a future leader by staging a Draupadi Vastrapaharanam style disrespect towards her that would enhance their political chances. Hence, he gets transferred to an old police station that had his father Srinivasulu (Devi Prasad) as a constable. He finds one 20-year case that his father could not solve and what happens next is the story. Analysis: Vadde Naveen had a strong screen presence in his early career films but at this age, he seems to have lost it. While he did put in a lot of efforts to dance, fight and in his performance, the script doesn't suit him. There is no organic flow of emotions and the film drags any chance at real emotional gravitas. The script has dated feel and the emotions feel fabricated. A story that feels like a cross between Kavaludaari and Jolly LLB seems completely lost in script. As a screenplay, it feels jaded, lazy and too repetitive. None of the scenes have the desired effect as the makers wanted. Most of the scenes fail to register any sort of weight and falls into the category of trying to ape something that worked. Music by Kalyan Nayak is too laborious and none of the departments really deliver. The drag in the second hour just frustrates audiences while techncially it could have been better. The film tries to re-establish Naveen Vadde's comeback but ends up being just another attempt with once popular star in action genre. Positives: Vadde Naveen efforts Raashi Singh looks Basic idea Negatives: Dated Narrative Jaded Style Story Outdated Screenplay Music Bottomline: Very Disappointing affair Rating: 2/5 Disclaimer: The views/opinions expressed in this review are personal views/opinions shared by the writer and organisation does not hold a liability to them. Vanda Devullu Movie Review
Cast: Vijay Antony, Swasika Vijay, Ajay Dheeshan, Lijomol Jose, Karunas Crew: Written by Mohan Rajan, Sasi Music by Balaji Sriram Cinematography by Darshan Kirlosh Editing by Harish Yuvaraj Directed by Sasi Produced by Vijay Antony, Ramanjaneyulu Javvaji After nearly a decade, Vijay Antony reunited with Pichaikkaran director Sasi for Vanda Devullu, an emotional social drama inspired by a real-life incident. With Swasika Vijay playing the central character and the makers confidently screening premieres before release, the film arrived carrying decent expectations. Let’s discuss the film in detail. Plot: Vasavi (Swasika Vijay) loses her husband within a few years of marriage and is left alone to raise her two sons, Bhaskar (Ajay Dheeshan) and Vivek. Despite severe financial struggles, she works multiple jobs and sacrifices everything to give her children a better future. Years later, when her sons grow up, Vasavi develops a desire to restart her life and thinks about getting married again. But her own children strongly oppose the idea and slowly grow resentment towards her decision. At the same time, Yedukondalu (Vijay Antony) enters the narrative with his own emotional baggage and circumstances. Is Vasavi seeking marriage for companionship and emotional fulfilment or does she want to challenge social norms? What role does Yedukondalu play in her life? The answers form the rest of Vanda Devullu. Analysis: The strongest aspect of the film is its central idea — questioning why society still expects widowed women to sacrifice their entire lives after losing their partners. It is a relevant and necessary discussion for contemporary audiences. Director Sasi succeeds in making us emotionally invest in Vasavi’s journey, especially during the first half where her struggles and daily survival create empathy. A confrontation scene between Vasavi and her elder son after the topic of remarriage comes up stands out emotionally. The bride-seeing episode and YouTube content portions add some much-needed lighter moments. However, the screenplay doesn’t fully extract the emotional potential of all its characters. Certain relationships deserved deeper establishment and the interval twist doesn’t leave the intended impact. The second half works better with the entry of Vijay Antony’s character. His scenes with Swasika bring warmth and momentum to the narrative. The pre-climax and final twenty minutes deliver the strongest emotional payoff and leave audiences with something to think about. Swasika Vijay is undoubtedly the backbone of the film. She performs the role of a widow and mother with conviction and emotional maturity. Vijay Antony leaves a strong impression despite limited screen presence. Ajay Dheeshan also delivers a grounded performance. Music, cinematography and production values support the emotional mood effectively. Positives: Swasika Vijay’s performance Core social theme Second Half Pre-climax and Climax Music and emotional moments Negatives: Some underdeveloped character arcs First Half pacing issues Interval twist lacks impact Bottomline: Emotional Drama Powered By Swasika’s Performance Rating: 2.5/5 Disclaimer: The views/opinions expressed in this review are personal views/opinions shared by the writer and organisation does not hold a liability to them. Maa Inti Bangaram Movie Review
Cast: Samantha, Gulshan Devaiah, Diganth Manchale, Manjusha Mukkavalli, Gautami, Anand, Sreemukhi Crew: Written by Raj Nidimoru, Vasanth Maringanti Cinematography by Om Prakash Music by Santhosh Narayanan Editing by Dharmendra Kakarala Directed by Nandini Reddy Produced by Raj Nidimoru, Samantha, Himank Reddy Duvvuru Samantha after a long gap joined hands with her close friend Nandini Reddy for an action film, Maa Inti Bangaram. Raj Nidimoru, her husband produced the film with her and the movie released with a good hype, today. Let's discuss about the film in detail. Plot: Swarna (Samantha) comes for the first time to her paternal village with her husband Anirudh (Diganth), after they elope. Her husband's family is big and they good common people. She wants to impress them and hence, emotionally blackmails her friend Kiranmayi (Manjusha) to help her. She wants to overpower Anasuya (Sreemukhi), the younger daughter-in-law as elder one. On the other hand, her violent past in the form of Karuna (Gulshan Devaiah) hunts her. Karuna is a criminal and he trained Swarna as Jhansi to yield weapons. She requests Karuna to leave her alone and let her lead her life. But he tries to use every possible way to make her life a living hell. Why is he obsessed with her? What does Anirudh and his family react to Swarna's past? Watch the movie to know more. Analysis: Samantha is good in her role and very athletic in action sequences. She is able to handle an innocent girl filled with fears and an assassin shades of the character well. Her performance is a highlight of the movie. Manjusha as Kiranmayi is impressive and all others did their roles recently. The main motive behind the story is not every woman needs to excel in household chores and such expectations should not be the norm. But the narrative is not highly reflective of this undercurrent message. It tries to balance everything and hence, feels slightly predictable. Still, the fun elements, action and Samantha's performance keeps audiences hooked to an extent. If not for the leading lady, the movie would have lost all its might and ended up as a forgettable fare. She balances all emotions in a perfect manner and carries the film on her able shoulders. Music by Santhosh Narayanan, production values and visuals are good. Editing could have been better but the overall flow is energetic, grounded and simple yet effective. Overall, Samantha carries this film with her screen presence. Positives: Samantha's performance Manjusha as Kiranmayi Music and BGM by Santhosh Narayanan Production Values Action sequences Negatives: Predictable Screenplay Slow Narrative Impact of Climax is slightly diluted with editing Bottomline: Samantha's One Woman Show Rating: 2.75/5 Disclaimer: The views/opinions expressed in this review are personal views/opinions shared by the writer and organisation does not hold a liability to them. RAPO23 Makers Issue Warning Over Fake Casting Call
The makers of Ram Pothineni’s RAPO23 have issued an official clarification after noticing unauthorized casting call posters being circulated across social media platforms. Through an official statement, the team alerted people to stay cautious and avoid engaging with individuals falsely claiming to represent the film. The production house stated that no unofficial casting process is being conducted and warned users not to share personal details, contact information or any sensitive data with anyone approaching in the name of the project. With large-scale films increasingly becoming targets for fake auditions and casting scams, such incidents have become more common in recent years. Makers are now taking proactive steps to issue public notices before misinformation spreads further. The statement also made it clear that any official casting calls, talent requirements or project updates related to RAPO23 will only be announced through verified official handles and communication channels. The warning serves as a reminder for aspiring actors and fans to verify announcements before responding, especially when projects with major stars generate high public interest. AR Rahman satirically dismisses anti national remarks
Imtiaz Ali’s Main Vaapas Aaunga has found itself at the centre of an unexpected online debate despite positive reception. A section of social media criticised the film’s portrayal and accused it of being “anti-national” for presenting Pakistani characters without reducing them to familiar political stereotypes. Reacting to the discussion, AR Rahman chose not to issue a long clarification. Instead, the composer responded to a viral satirical post and highlighted a line that quickly became the talking point: “There can be normal humans in Pakistan.” He accompanied the reaction with a laughing emoji, making his stance clear without directly entering the argument. The post itself mocked how some viewers expected a spy thriller or a revenge narrative and were surprised to find an emotional, human story instead. It jokingly suggested that simply showing ordinary people across the border had become controversial enough to trigger accusations online. Interestingly, the conversation around Main Vaapas Aaunga is not centred on its craft or performances but on interpretation. Directed by Imtiaz Ali, the film appears to approach Partition and cross-border emotions through personal stories rather than political messaging. Rahman’s reaction has now shifted attention back to that larger point — whether audiences can separate governments from people and allow cinema to explore human experiences without immediately reading them as political positions. Rakesh Bedi sharply dismisses PMO rumor about Dhurandhar
Ever since Dhurandhar and its follow-up turned into a massive discussion point, the film has attracted reactions beyond box office numbers. Like many politically interpreted films in recent years, conversations around its writing and intent started growing alongside its success. One such claim that kept circulating online was that the script felt too detailed and too sharp to have come through regular development, with jokes suggesting it must have come directly from the Prime Minister’s Office. Veteran actor Rakesh Bedi has now reacted to those conversations and dismissed the speculation. Speaking at a recent interaction, Bedi treated the claim more as a byproduct of audience reaction than something to be taken literally. According to him, when a film connects strongly with people, such narratives begin appearing around it. Interestingly, Bedi also spoke about director Aditya Dhar’s process and revealed that the filmmaker was initially cautious about revealing too much of his character’s internal arc and suspense portions during development. The actor further mentioned contributing certain lighter moments into the role even though the film’s tone was designed to remain controlled. The discussion arrives at a time when Dhurandhar continues to be analysed not just as a commercial success but also for how audiences are reading its political undertones. Bedi, however, appears to be placing the focus back on filmmaking and audience engagement rather than theories around where the ideas originated. Spider-Man Brand New Day Trailer: Darker than Anticipated
Spider-Man character has been one of the most fan favourite among superheroes and his films have been consistent in drawing crowds to theatres. While Superman, Batman films did struggle from version to version and adaptation to adaptation, Spider-Man films did manage to sustain interest with three different leads playing them. Tom Holland's version has to be credited as most successful but Marvel Cinematic Universe has always made it two hero collaboration with Spidey at the center. Tony Stark's constant guidance in first two films and then, bringing Multiverse angle with Doctor Strange kept the narrative running. Following the same principle, they have brought in Bruce Banner/ Hulk into the equation. While multiverse saga used the opportunity to bring in all three actors who played Spidey on screen together, mutation angle in this new film seems to set up integration of mutants into the grand MCU cycle for Avengers: Doomsday. The trailer explores more darker themes of self-loss and preservation rather than just hitting at new big baddie. Hulk who is known for losing himself besides Spider-Man who is on the verge of mutating himself does make it fun. Zendaya's MJ and Ned to remember Spidey or not, we have to wait till 31st July for the answers.
